Absent from the United States market for decades, we were thrilled when Alfa Romeo returned to the states. The Giulia sedan and the Stelvio crossover offer the same classic Italian style and unfettered driving enjoyment that defined the brand in its domestic heyday. The high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models offer even sharper reflexes and quicker acceleration. We love Alfas for their unabashedly Italian design, but unfortunately, they also suffer from unabashedly poor reliability: the Giulia Quadrifoglio we had for a 40,000-mile test broke our hearts with its dreadful record of repairs.
